I don’t love you because of your way with words. In the right context it’s possible to make even the most hideous thought sound righteously radiant, it’s all just ardor and emotion attached to words. Sure, there’s a million ways to say something, but there’s only one way to do it. I don’t love you because I only see good in you. The truth is, you’re lost just like the rest of us. I don’t love you because you’re outwardly beautiful, or because you never seem to mess up. I love you because even though I’ve seen the worst parts of you, even though it completely terrifies me to put so much of myself into one single person, even though we’re outwardly nothing the same, there’s no one I’ve ever met who comes even remotely close to making me as happy as I am when I’m with you.
